ELEMENTAL REMEMBRANCE
Elemental Remembrance is a collection of contemporary Australian landscape paintings by Wollongong artist Jaqueline Burgess. Inspired by the enduring relationship between land, water, memory, and time, the works explore the emotional and elemental presence held within the natural world.
These paintings honour the raw beauty of ancient rock formations, shifting coastlines, flowing water, and weathered surfaces shaped over millennia. Through layered textures and atmospheric light, the collection reflects a quiet sense of reverence for the Australian landscape and the stories held within it.
Drawn from locations across Australia, each artwork carries its own stillness and emotional resonance — inviting contemplation, connection, and remembrance through nature.
