JULY IN THE STUDIO

As the pace of the world softens and the air turns icy, I find myself returning — again and again — to the sanctuary of my art practice. There is something sacred about these slower months. Something that invites us to pause, to notice more, and to create from a place of deep presence.

In this mid-year stillness, we are gifted the chance to make space — not just in our homes, but in our inner world. And within that space, art becomes more than something we make… it becomes something that holds us.

New Work: The Subtle Stories of Stillness

Lately, I’ve been working on a new collection of paintings that reflect this seasonal quiet — gentle pieces where nature and symbolism meet in small, contemplative moments.

One of these works features a curious magpie perched beside a glass vase, studying a curling stem and a visiting bee. It’s a scene that holds so much to me: attentiveness, fragility, the beauty of pause. The way the bird watches — but doesn’t move — feels like a meditation in itself.

This series has become a study in soft magic — in the beauty of reflections, tension, and silent connection. It’s teaching me that not all stories are loud. Some speak in glances, in shadows, in tiny acts of stillness.

These pieces will soon be available as prints, and I’ll be sharing more of their evolution over the coming weeks. The originals will be exhibited from the

Winter Rituals to Reconnect

Sacred Journaling at Dawn
There’s something about journaling in the early morning or early evening, as the light fades and the world slows. I often sit by the window, wrapped in a soft throw, and let my thoughts spill onto the page.

What am I holding that no longer serves me?

And what do I want to welcome in its place?
