RIVER AT SUNSET

This painting was inspired by a quiet moment in Yass, New South Wales, where the day softened into evening and the landscape became still.

As the sun lowered, warm tones moved gently across the water, reflecting the sky and dissolving into the land. It was one of those moments where everything slows — where nothing is needed and everything feels complete.

River at Sunset is a reflection on that transition between day and night. A space of calm, softness and quiet presence.

This piece forms part of my ongoing exploration of Australian landscape paintings, capturing moments of stillness, light and emotional connection to place.
