LUMINOUS SCAPES

Mountains , burning rocks , rivers and waves. Hitting the pause button to take in the view. These paintings evoke the pristine wilderness and breathtaking beauty of the Island State, from its rugged mountains and ancient Tarkine rainforest to the long, remote beaches layered across her coastline.

Tasmania has been a muse with an abundance of surprises. I have tried to capture her beauty in the beginning of Autumn, when the sun sits lower on the horizon, the colours are deeper and darker, and the small glimpses are sun light that peek through the clouds to illuminate this beautiful Landscape. 

My gaol was to entice the viewer to venture to this beautiful and ancient land, to appreciate her scented breezes, rugged mountains and hazy skies.
